DESCRIPTION:Interested in science and technology (S&T) policy writing but don’t know where to start? Join this writing workshop series led by Dr. Deborah D. Stine\, founder of the Science and Technology Policy Academy. Dr. Stine has worked on numerous policy issues as the Executive Director of the President’s Council of Advisors on S&T (PCAST) at the Obama White House\, and as a S&T policy specialist with the Congressional Research Service. \nWorkshop #1: Policy Writing 101: A How-to Guide\nMarch 15\, 2023\, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. EST\nThe first workshop will focus on identifying compelling science policy topics\, and how to write policy briefs and memos. \nWorkshop #2: Individualized Feedback Session\nMarch 29\, 2023\, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. EST\nThe second workshop will focus on workshopping the writing pieces and receiving individual feedback. \nClick on the session title to sign up either individually or as a group interested in NYS science policy!
