DESCRIPTION:Are you a STEM graduate student or postdoc interested in exploring healthcare consulting? Eager to translate your scientific knowledge into real-world impact in the pharma/biotech industry? Alcimed explores and develops unhcharted territories\, growing to over 200 people across 6 offices in Europe and the USA since 1993. Alcimed helps clients innovate in the healthcare sector\, while embracing five core values every day: Adventure\, Surpassing\, Freedom\, Team & Fun. Join these sessions to first hear from healthcare consultants at Alcimed\, who will share insights about their work and offer career advancement opportunities. Refreshments provided! \nThe info session is 1-2pm is led by Alcimed and the Nautilus AI team\, targeted for STEM graduate students at Cornell (any campus) and IVY+ partner institutions. If you cannot attend in person\, a link will be provided for interested participants not in Ithaca. \nDuring the session\, you’ll learn more about who we are\, the types of challenges we help our clients solve\, and what a career in healthcare consulting can look like for someone with a scientific or technical background. We’ll also share more about life at Alcimed\, the work our teams do across the pharma and biotech industries\, and opportunities to combine scientific expertise with business\, strategy\, and innovation. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet members of our team\, ask questions\, and introduce yourself. \nThen\, for those on the Cornell Ithaca campus\, a team consulting case competition will follow. \nThe case study is 2-4:30pm in person only for doctoral students interested in consulting to work on teams to simulate what it’s like to be a healthcare consultant. Please have your resume ready to share at the end of this event. Join Alcimed for this interactive healthcare consulting case study and get a firsthand look at how we approach real-world business challenges in the pharmaceutical industry. \nParticipants will be divided into teams and work through a case based on a real-world client problem\, breaking down the key issues\, developing a structured approach\, and presenting recommendations. Along the way\, you’ll have the opportunity to practice problem-solving\, teamwork\, and strategic thinking in a setting similar to the work our consultants do every day. \nThis event is designed for students pursuing or holding a graduate-level STEM degree who are interested in business\, innovation\, and healthcare consulting.
