We engage our members in the policymaking process and educate the public about the role of scientific input in advancing society. We provide trainings on writing and outreach\, discussions of pertinent science policy topics\, host invited speakers\, and lead annual trips to Washington\, D.C. DESCRIPTION:A talk with Pablo Orozco\, Legal Affairs Fellow at the Alliance for Science. Come learn about the Alliance\, a non-profit housed right here at Cornell that is doing incredible work supporting the use of scientific research to solve pressing issues in food security\, agriculture and climate change. Pablo will discuss global policies impacting the use of genetically modified organisms and other important biotechnology\, and how scientists can be involved in shaping this landscape.
