DESCRIPTION:Join the University of Rochester Samuels Family Speaker Series for a conversation with UR alumnus Steve Blank\, who has worked in the entertainment industry for the past 14 years. A reception will follow. \nSteve is a born and bred New Yorker who began as a Marketing Coordinator at TV Land before moving on to Nickelodeon\, working on content such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles\, and SpongeBob Squarepants\, as well as helping oversee the network’s presence at both San Diego & New York Comic Cons. In 2015\, he was offered his dream job as a member of the Lucasfilm Story Group\, helping launce Star Wars Rebels. Steve is also the co-Executive Sponsor of Lucas Pride\, Lucasfilm’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group. \nThe event is open to all current undergraduate and graduate humanities students.  Visit the event website for more information.
