Are you in an area related to Medicine, Engineering, and Health Sciences and interested in the public policy landscape shaping science, innovation, and discovery? The American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) hosts a Public Policy Institute in Washington D.C. to give early career scientists and engineers a look into how public policy impacts medical and biological engineering (https://aimbe.org/institute/). You will have the opportunity to hear and learn from regulatory agencies such as the FDA and NIH, policy experts and thought leaders, industry giants in the medical device and innovation sector. You will meet with government decision makers developing the public policies that govern patents, medical devices, pharma, and health and science legislation and network with early career participants in health and engineering across the nation.

If you are potentially interested in policy and think this conference would benefit your future career and professional development goals, please contact Joseph Long (jtl238@cornell.edu) by Wednesday, September 11th with PhD program, degree year, and reason why you’re interested/how this conference will help your professional development (preference to those who apply early!).
