Explore commercialization in an NSF I-Corps Regional Course

NSF I-Corps Hub Interior Northeast

Led by the NSF I-Corps Hub: Interior Northeast (IN I-Corps), these free, month-long NSF I-Corps Regional Courses are designed for university-based STEM researchers and early-stage founders interested in evaluating the market potential of their technology and learning valuable entrepreneurial skills.

The following hybrid courses are tailored to innovators in specific fields:

  • April 1 – May 1: This course for researchers developing wildfire management technologies begins online and includes an in-person customer discovery trip to Pasadena, CA to attend the IDGA Wildfire Technology Management Conference. Portions of the course will take place at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena. Hosted by NASA I-Corps and IN I-Corps partner Cornell University. Apply by Feb. 26.
    • Participants in this NASA I-Corps™ Pilot initiative will be supported with a grant for up to $10K, and the opportunity to apply for additional funding, up to $40K
  • April 29 – May 31: This course for energy researchers begins online and culminates with customer discovery travel to Dallas, TX for the ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit. Hosted by IN I-Corps partners Binghamton University and West Virginia University. Apply by April 3.

The following virtual course is open to tech researchers in all STEM fields:

  • April 1 – May 1: Hosted by IN I-Corps partner University of Pittsburgh. Apply by March 6.
