Life Science Company Client Projects
The Center for Life Science Ventures, a life science startup incubator on campus, has a few start-up projects that would benefit from the help of Cornell students.
The projects typically involve market research, business strategy, customer discovery, etc. Below are two that seek assistance currently:
Eukaryon Go to Market Project Request
Eukaryon is a biotech firm that is working to become the industry leader in cattle cloning due to proprietary techniques involving the use of pluripotent stem cells in the cloning process. Eukaryon co-founder Vimal Selvaraj has developed a unique method of creating and sustaining pluripotent stem cells and has successfully created embryos with our innovative processes. We are currently working on a grant submission that will enable the company to test our technology on a larger scale.
Coordinate a Remote Health Screening Pilot in Ithaca
CareTech Human, Inc. a startup from the Cornell Life Science Venture Incubator (CLSV), is at the forefront of revolutionizing remote health monitoring and diagnostics. Our cutting-edge solution integrates seamlessly with a toilet bowl, utilizing advanced Artificial Nose (eNose) technology to detect physiological parameters and biomarkers from urine. This non-invasive approach enables continuous health monitoring and offers early detection of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, kidney diseases, prostate issues, and urinary tract infections. Our platform leverages AI-powered algorithms and machine learning to analyze health data, providing valuable insights for both patients and healthcare providers.
Get involved
These projects are a great opportunity to learn more about the business side of science, while gaining important skills and perspectives on real-world challenges that companies face. These experiences are especially useful if you are considering a career in industry, whether at a large or small company. Having these local opportunities can be key to continuing to advance your own thesis work.
Students can apply their knowledge from class, get first-hand experience working with a startup, and help move great technologies towards greater impact.
We can organize the project as an independent study to recognize the students’ efforts.
