This session will explore how an entrepreneurial mindset can help you in any profession, and why employers seek people who embrace this mindset. We will define some qualities that will help you thrive in any professional environment and self-assess whether you are an entrepreneur. Many PhD graduates have gone on to discover fulfilling roles in intellectual property, technology transfer, licensing, entrepreneurship, and as intrapreneurs in large companies to do social good and make an enhanced impact on the world. Whether you have an idea and want to start your own enterprise, are thinking about joining an early stage organization, or want to explore career options around innovation, it helps to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, in and beyond academia.
