This webinar features a stellar panel of PhD-CEOs who each founded a company within 2 years of their PhDs and who have collectively raised more than $275M for these companies. The panelists will discuss the foundation of these companies and the learnings they had as they have scaled up their businesses. About the panelists

  • Abraham Heifets (BS ’01 MEng ’02), CEO of Atomwise, a developer of artificial intelligence systems using powerful deep learning algorithms and supercomputers for drug discovery.
  • Jacob Becraft, CEO of Strand Therapeutics, a developer of an mRNA platform intended to create gene therapies powered by synthetic biology.
  • Piraye Beim (Ph.D. ’07), CEO of Celmatix, a preclinical-stage women’s health biotech focused uniquely on ovarian biology.

The discussion will be moderated by Andrea Ippolito (BS ’06 MEng ’07), CEO of SimpliFed and a Cornell Entrepreneur-In-Residence.
