Synopsis
Matters involving administration of Intellectual Property (IP) present a variety of challenges and opportunities for researchers and research administrators at Cornell University. This roundtable discussion will provide a basic understanding of IP and Cornell’s applicable Policies and procedures, as well as relevant sponsor terms and governmental regulations.
Particular attention will focus on situations that differ from the standard federal terms and Cornell’s standard allocation of rights, necessitating coordination among parties at Cornell and potentially requiring an “IP Waiver” document. Cornell’s Gateway program for industry sponsors will also be discussed.
