Create an Employer-Ready LinkedIn Profile

Careers Beyond Academia staff will start with a short overview presentation with LinkedIn tips, exercises to identify a good tagline, a summary discussion and an interactive session to work on profiles and receive feedback. Even if you don’t yet have a profile, please register and we will send you some starter tips to get going. If your profile needs some updating (like you last looked at it as an undergrad, haha), no worries, tune in and we’ll get you motivated to make some quick 5-minute changes! And if your profile is looking pretty good, you’ll be sure to get input from others to make it even better and insight from recruiters who look at your profile to get you hired! If there’s time, we’ll demo how you can use LinkedIn to strategically expand your network, find job postings, and connect with professionals in the roles you seek.
